Orin is a Brisbane-based counsellor who lives in Ferny Grove with his wife and two young sons (11 and 12). He became a counsellor as he wanted to support people who were struggling with their mental health. He finds great satisfaction in watching people develop the ability to help themselves from within. In his spare time, Orin enjoys photography – with experience in wedding and commercial photography.
Kristy was inspired by personal experiences and a curiosity about human behaviour to pursue a career in counselling. Kristy provides a safe and confidential space for individuals to express their concerns and assist them in navigating these issues to achieve their goals using a person-centred approach. Outside of counselling, Kristy enjoys surfing, sunsets with her dog (Ralphy) and sharing a glass of red wine and blue cheese among friends.
Michael Sanford walked away from a full-time job in 2019 to tackle a major crisis overwhelming the South Burnett region of south-east Queensland – suicide. The Burnett local area records the second highest suicide rate in Australia. As a former local youth worker, Michael had seen the ongoing gaps in mental health services and the need to address them. He founded Bunyarra Wellbeing Co and immediately began to tackle how both communities and workplaces talk about and responds to mental health and suicide.
After many years in education, providing a counselling service to schools, Narelle became frustrated with the reactive approach to mental health and wellbeing. She focused on developing a range of student and staff wellbeing programs to assist people to develop the skills needed to improve their general wellbeing as well as the tools to cope with the many challenges of life. Narelle has now extended these programs to the community and workplace through Bunyarra Wellbeing Co., and encourages organisations to take responsibility for promoting a wellbeing culture by valuing the wellbeing of their staff.

Deb Leech is a mother of 4 adult children and a grandmother of 5 amazing kids. Over the past 40 plus years she has worked in health care as both a Registered Nurse and Registered Counsellor. Within this time, she has accumulated a variety of skills, qualifications, and knowledge across a wide range of areas including infant, child and adult mental health and wellbeing, sleep and settling and varied parenting supports. Deb sees her clients as the experts in their own lives and as such will walk alongside them, guiding and supporting them as much or as little as they wish.
She prides herself on her commitment to be open, honest, approachable, “real”, and professional in all that she does, both professionally and personally and never loses sight of the privilege that’s goes with being invited into someone’s private life.
